Allan Gonzales was born on May 17, 1957, in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Lakewood. Known affectionately as “Mr. G” to the students at Green Gables Elementary School, he served as a paraprofessional for six years. His daily presence brought warmth and stability to the school community. With genuine care and a warm sense of humor, he made certain every child felt seen, valued, loved, and safe, whether in the classroom, hallways, or during lunch and recess. His dedication left a lasting impression on both students and staff.
Allan graduated from Aurora Central High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Business. Yet he considered his greatest accomplishment to be fatherhood. His family remained the center of his world, and he embraced the role with deep love and pride. He was also deeply committed to his church community, where he helped lead Sunday school and sang in the choir, sharing his faith and passion for music. He found additional joy in cheering for the Air Force Football team.
Those who knew Allan remember his lighthearted spirit, positive outlook, and readiness to brighten someone’s day with a joke. His kindness and infectious humor were gifts he shared freely with everyone around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Gonzales, his son, Ian, and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kazuko and Leopolde Gonzales.
