North Olmsted, OH
Alijah Nathan Andujar, known lovingly as Bubs, Bubbie, Bubbacito, and Bugs, peacefully passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of nine. He was the very definition of love and a real-life superhero to everyone who knew him.
In his nine short years, Alijah faced more challenges than most encounter in a lifetime, yet he remained remarkably resilient. Nothing could hold him down. He moved through the world with joyful defiance and an infectious laugh that brightened every room. A natural jokester, his greatest mission was to put a smile on everyone’s face, a goal he achieved every single day through playful tricks and his delight in even the silliest Siri jokes.
Alijah had sophisticated tastes for one so young. He was a true milk connoisseur who loved hunting for unusual flavors, with chocolate chip cookie, waffle, and strawberry banana ranking among his favorites. When he wasn’t enjoying a new milk, he could often be found savoring a bowl of mac and cheese from Chick-fil-A, Panera, or KFC. Music was the heartbeat of his world; he possessed an extraordinary memory for lyrics and knew his favorite songs word for word. He was rarely without his karaoke machine, his beloved toy phone—on which he recorded messages now treasured forever—or his cherished Furbies.
At home, this hero to the world was a gentle “cuddle bug,” especially with his mommy. Alijah embodied pure, unconditional love. He is survived by his devoted parents, Shiann and Ricardo Andujar, his protective brother, Josiah Andujar, his Nana Cookie Kizzee (Dustin), and his Papa Ricardo Andujar (Lisa). He also leaves behind his great-grandparents, Linda Kizzee and Maryann Bowen Dean; aunts and uncles Stephanie Beran, Nicholas Kizzee (Machella), Julieonna Cottrill (Adrian), Angelina Cottrill, Katrina Andujar, Marissa Andujar (Corey), Cruz Andujar, Cortez Andujar, Paulie, Alexis, and Alicen; as well as many cousins and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Alba Andujar Caraballo (Wilfredo) and Paul Bowen Sr.
Alijah taught everyone around him that no matter the obstacles, there is always reason to sing, to joke, and to love. He now walks freely, likely recording messages for his family on a golden phone and searching for the finest mac and cheese heaven has to offer.
