Alice Vaselo, age 82, of Yantis, Texas, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs.
Born on April 4, 1943, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Thomas and Hilda Benton, Alice married Peter Vaselo in Texarkana, Texas, on October 19, 1960. A devoted member of White Oak Fellowship Church, she found great joy in singing in the choir and participating in her church community. She carried a joyful spirit and a deep love for music, often singing karaoke and dancing. Alice and Peter shared many happy years traveling the world together during his work, creating memories she cherished throughout her life. She had a keen sense of fashion and took delight in clothes, makeup, and getting dressed up. She also enjoyed creating a comfortable home and particularly loved the simple pleasure of choosing a new couch. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her passion for music and travel, and the happiness she brought to everyone around her.
Alice is survived by her sons, Tommy Vaselo and wife Robbie of Yantis, Texas, and Billy Vaselo and wife Lisa of Yantis, Texas; her grandchildren, David Agnew, Billy Vaselo, Gage Vaselo, Amber Vaselo, Jade Vaselo, and David Vaselo; her brother, Harvey Benton; and her two step-sisters, Billie Ann and Jean. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hilda Benton.
