Alice Mae Kruckeberg Wobbrock
October 17, 1931— March 11, 2026
Claremont, MN
Alice Mae Kruckeberg Wobbrock, 94, of Claremont, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
Alice grew up in Claremont and graduated from Claremont High School in 1950. She began her working life at Josten’s in Owatonna before marrying Lloyd Wobbrock on May 29, 1952, in Owatonna. The couple made their home in Claremont, where they owned and operated Wobbrock Trucking. Alice managed dispatching and occasionally drove trucks herself. For 31 years she served as a school bus driver for both Claremont and Triton schools. A lifelong member of the Lutheran church, she belonged to Peace Lutheran in Claremont and later Redeemer Lutheran and Good Shepherd Lutheran in Owatonna after the congregations merged.
Alice found joy in bowling, attending stock car races, gardening, fishing, and camping at Cedar Lake in Faribault. She was a devoted fan of the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Gophers, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Scott Wobbrock (Lisa Aronson) of Dodge Center and Bob (Julie) Wobbrock of Claremont; grandchildren Jeff (Ashley) of Haslet, Texas, Michelle Wobbrock of Dodge Center, Amber (Zac) McGaughy of Haslet, Texas, Kylie (Brady) Hickey of Dodge Center, and Jake Wobbrock of Claremont; eight great-grandchildren, Nic, Ethan, Brylee, Sophia, Caden, Toby, Millie, and Decker; sister-in-law Kim Kruckeberg of Rochester; brother-in-law Chuck (Jan) Wobbrock of Medford; sister-in-law Doris Wobbrock of Mankato; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, her sister Lorraine Nelson, and her brother Ronald Kruckeberg.
