Hanmer, 79, of Gloversville, NY passed away on Friday, March 13th, 2026 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by family.She was born on February 3rd, 1947, in Gloversville, NY to William A. Schrader and Florence M. Schrader. Alice helped her mother run a home for young boys when she was young and later in life was a textile sewer for many years.Alice devoted her life to her family. Her most important wish was to see her grandchildren build a life for themselves; she lived to see it! She was a spunky, lovable woman who accepted those for who they were. The casino was her favorite place, and you could find her playing slots at any point in the day!Alice is survived by her son, Harold E. Hanmer Jr., her youngest daughter, Florence Vanness, her grandchildren- Shannondoa Hanmer (Kimberly Fowler), Michael and Joeseph Risi, Allison and Damian Hanmer, and her great grandson Sekou Currie.She was preceded in death by her husband Harold E. Hanmer Sr, her parents, her oldest brother Gary Lander, and her oldest daughter Betty Risi.There will be no Memorial service, but in lieu of flowers or donations, please reach out to her daughter Florence Vanness.Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G.
