Alice L. Harlan, 87, of Warren, PA, died on Sunday, March 1, 2026, following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 7, 1938, in Kane, PA, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Mabel M. Brown Weaver. Alice was a graduate of Kane High School, class of 1956. On September 1, 1956, in Kane, PA, she married Darrell D. Harlan. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this September. In addition to her loving husband Darrell, she is survived by five children, Tod M. Harlan and wife Elsie of Newport, PA; Timothy J. Harlan and wife Diane of Chagrin Falls, OH; Anthony D. Harlan of Lewis Run, PA; Laurie L. Griffin and husband Gerald of Warren, PA; and Darren M. Harlan of Plum, PA. Alice is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings Arlene M. Fede of Rochester, NY; and Richard C. Weaver and wife Carolyn of Manasses, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deborah Ann, and siblings James Weaver, June Fleeger, Mary Millard, Betty Oesterling, and Shirley Howard.From a very young age, Alice's Catholic faith was at the center of her life. She had a very special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Youngsville, PA, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, taught RCIA classes, and served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. After moving to Warren in 2022, she became a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Warren, PA. Alice worked for many years as a secretary for the Youngsville Borough Office in Youngsville, PA. She was a member of the Youngsville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 658.Family and faith were everything to Alice. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends, porch sitting, and a good glass of wine. She enjoyed biking, walking and crafts. She loved music and especially dancing in her kitchen to country music. She was renowned for her baked goods especially her pies. She loved the color pink, spring was her favorite season and Easter was her favorite holiday. She was a compassionate soul with the most joyful heart. She was loved deeply. There will be a viewing from 10-11 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA. The Reverend Richard Tomasone will officiate. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
