Alice Jean Schultz

1946 — 2026

Sidney, OH

Alice Jean Schultz, 79, of Sidney, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Ohio Living Dorothy Love in Sidney. Born on July 27, 1946, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to the late William and Rose Stewart, Alice grew up with a deep appreciation for family that would define her life.

On February 17, 1968, she married Gary Schultz, and together they shared 52 loving years until his passing in 2020. Alice was a devoted mother to Kenneth Schultz, Catherine (Jason) Courter, and Matthew Schultz, and a cherished grandmother to Caleb Courter, Madison (Matthew) Miller, and Elias Courter. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kian Courter. Alice’s family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in nurturing those closest to her.

She is also survived by her sister, Carol (Tom) Yeakel, brothers William Stewart and John Stewart, and brothers- and sisters-in-law Marjorie Schultz, Robert (Dee) Schultz, Mark Schultz, Sally (Peter) Brooks, and Ruth Seaquist, along with many nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Fred Schultz, her parents, and her husband Gary.

Alice retired from the accounting department at Advanced Composites. She was an avid gardener who found peace in tending her plants, and she had a lifelong passion for sewing quilts and creating crafts. She generously shared her handmade gifts with family and friends and took special delight in teaching her creative skills to her children and grandchildren. Alice also enjoyed playing bridge with her circle of friends and was a longtime parishioner of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.
