Alice Jean Bell

Alice Jean Keller Bell, age 86, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on September 15, 1940, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, to Warren and Velma Keller, she was known and loved by all as Nanaw. She brought warmth, laughter, and kindness to everyone she met, finding simple joy in sitting outside listening to the birds sing and visiting with friends. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, sharing stories and creating lasting memories.

She is survived by her son Derek Burton, daughter Kimberly McNail, daughter-in-law Barbara Burton, brother Larry Keller and his wife Becky, sister Sue Neal and her husband Tom, eight grandchildren: Kara Thompson and her husband Clint, Kayla Randle and her husband Chris, Kelby Burton and his wife Candice, Kristen Luster and her husband Kade, Peyton Lankford and her husband Jacob, Jordan Bates, J’ianna Miller, and Marc Miller, along with fourteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Bell, her parents Warren and Velma Keller, her son Don Burton, her grandsons Jarron Bates and Chase Miller-Burton, her brothers Darrell and Tommy Keller, and her daughter-in-law Jennifer McNail.
