Algimantas Slapkauskas

Algimantas Slapkauskas was born on February 7, 1937, in Kaunas, Lithuania, and passed away on March 8, 2026, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He lived in Glen Ellyn for many years, having previously resided in the Gage Park neighborhood of Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, Rugile Slapkauskas (née Rygertaite); his daughter, Rugile Wathen, and her husband, Robert; his son, Gintas Slapkauskas, and Janina Griciute; his grandchildren, Darius, Maximilius, and Ingrida Wathen, and Henrikas Slapkauskas; his brother-in-law, Gediminas Rygertas, and sister-in-law, Joan O'Neill; as well as other relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to the Lithuanian Scouts Association.
