Preserve forever →Alfred "Al" Rossomangno
February 1, 1939— March 13, 2026
Bradenton, FL
Alfred Rossomangno, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 87 in Bradenton, Florida. Born on February 1, 1939, in New York, New York, Al lived a life defined by selflessness, a loving heart, and a gentle sense of humor that drew people to him.
His journey was marked by dedicated service. Al proudly served more than six years in the United States Navy as a diesel and nuclear submariner before spending 20 years as a firefighter in East Hartford, Connecticut. In both roles, and in every aspect of his daily life, he demonstrated a steadfast commitment to doing every job well and helping others.
Al found great joy in the outdoors, tending his garden with care and embracing his passions for boating and fishing. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, sharing meals, dancing, telling stories, and filling the room with laughter.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 52 years, Michelle Rossomangno; his daughter, Theresa Dumark; his son, John Rossomangno; his siblings, Richard Mozzot, Patricia Paolillo, and Donald Rossomangno; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers George, Robert, and Alan Rossomangno; his sisters Anita, Michele Rossomangno, and Marianne Freeman; and his son, Anthony Rossomangno, with whom he is now joyfully reunited. Those who knew him will always remember his quiet courage, his warmth, and the twinkle in his eye that promised a good joke was never far away.
