March 9, 1955— March 8, 2026
Clarksville, TN
Alfred Hubert Rogers was born on March 9, 1955 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the son of the late Hubert Rogers and Rachel Williams Rogers.
Affectionately known as Hubert, he professed a hope in Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of Poston Street Church of God, where he served as a Deacon. He graduated from Clarksville High School with the Class of 1972. Shortly afterward, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1972 to 1976 and attaining the rank of Sergeant E-5. Upon leaving the military, he worked for more than twenty years as a food service worker in the Nutrition Department at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.
A dedicated father, Hubert was the sole provider for his youngest son, Rayshawn. He cherished time spent with family and friends, and found joy in cooking, fishing, watching movies, and driving through Clarksville to observe the city’s growth. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He departed this life on March 8, 2026. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Cateshia Rogers; sons, Marcus Rogers and Rayshawn Rogers, all of Clarksville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Rogers; favorite nephews, Adrian Rogers, Dwayne Willis, and Anthony Henry; aunt, Martha Washington; uncle, Lee Douglas Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
