Born in Franklin, he was a son of the late Alexander Webb "Pete" Hatch, Sr. and Virginia Gillette Hatch. He was also predeceased by his brother, William F. "Billy" Hatch, Sr.Alex was a graduate of Franklin High School and Chowan College and retired from the US Postal Service in Richmond where he lived most of his adult life. He grew up in Franklin Congregational Christian Church.Left to cherish his memory are two nephews, William F. "Bill" Hatch, Jr. (Laura) and Tracy Lynn Hatch; two great nephews, Tracy Hatch, Jr. and Aiden Hatch; and a great niece, Olivia Hatch.Services will be private. Viewing will be available prior to the service.
