Alex Dubin

Dr. Alex Dubin, a beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on Sunday at the age of 84, surrounded by family. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he dedicated his life to caring for children and supporting families through his work as a pediatrician. After graduating from The Ohio State University Medical School in 1963, he served briefly in Norfolk, Virginia as a Coast Guard Surgeon’s Assistant before moving to Toledo to establish his practice. In 1981 he relocated to Columbus, where he conducted research at the Nisonger Center at The Ohio State University while continuing to serve the community with compassion and dedication for more than 40 years. He formed lasting relationships with his patients and mentored many young medical professionals, always remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the deep impact he made on the families he served in both his medical and child behavior practices.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, his father, Charles, and his brother, Tom. Alex will be deeply missed by his wife Sandi; children, Corey (Amy), Jenny (Josh), Amy (Jay), and Bonnie (Mike); grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Everest, Ari, and Daphne; and by his extended family, friends, colleagues, and generations of grateful patients.
