Alejandro Aguirre Ybarra, 46, of Lefors, TX passed away March 15, 2026.

Rosary will be said at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 Washington. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Alejandro was born July 12, 1979 in Amarillo, TX to Rodolfo Ybarra and Rosie Aguiree. He grew up in Uvalde, TX and worked for Fields Land and Cattle of Groom, TX.

Alejandro was a simple man who loved horses and cattle more than people. He was a skillful horseman and cowboying was his passion.

Alejandro was a stern father who praised respect and a hard day’s work, and yet a man who was willing to help in any time of need. He was an amazing and loving father, as well as a loving son and brother.

Alejandro is survived by his mother, Rosie Ybarra of Lefors, TX; father, Rodolfo “Pete” Ybarra of Vernon, TX; son, Elijah Cole Barnett and fiancée Kira McClelland of Borger, TX; daughter, Helena Denham and husband Kyle of Quanah, TX; son, Samuel Ybarra and wife Heyleigh of Hereford, TX; brothers, J.J. Ybarra, Juan Ybarra of Plainview, TX, and Benjamin Ybarra and wife Patricia of Altus, OK; and 10 grandchildren.
