Bonifay, FL
Alberta Louise Marsh Ingle, age 102, formerly of Bonifay, Florida, passed away on March 5, 2026, at The Neighborhood at Grove Park Memory Care in Dothan, Alabama. She was born on July 26, 1923, in Pennville, Indiana, to Harold Clark Marsh and Margaret Irey Marsh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams “Pete” Ingle, one grandson, “Chuckie” White, her sisters Judy Johnson and Betty Hall, a brother Harold “Nuni” Marsh Jr., and a half-brother Frances Marsh. She is survived by her daughters Peggy Pelham, Jerry Pelham, Theresa Peacock, and Kim Peters, all of Dothan, Alabama; her beloved grandchildren Robert “Bobby” Bruner and Rebekah Savage of Birmingham, Alabama; and her brother Robert Allen “Bob” Marsh of Indiana.
Alberta grew up in Pennville, Indiana, spending much of her childhood with her grandparents. Her family traveled frequently because of her father’s work owning and operating telephone companies before settling in Sebring, Florida, where she met the love of her life, Pete Ingle. In the summer of 1962, Alberta and Pete moved to Bonifay when Tri-County Telephone Company was sold and Pete was sent to manage the new Florida holdings. Bonifay became the place where she devoted many years to raising her family and serving her community.
A gifted seamstress, Alberta lovingly made many of her own clothes as well as all of her daughters’ clothing, known for her talent, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. She was deeply active in her church and civic organizations, giving countless hours to local efforts that supported families and children. Alberta lived many happy years in Bonifay before moving to Whitehall Assisted Living in Dothan to be closer to her daughters. As her health declined, she later resided at The Neighborhood at Grove Park Memory Care, where she remained surrounded by loving care. Throughout her long life, she carried a strong personality, a positive outlook, and a determined spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
