Albert Turner Jones, age 83, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his residence.
Born on January 8, 1943, in Columbia, Tennessee, to Joseph Albert Jones and Helen Sullivan Jones, Albert graduated from Central High School in 1961. A lifelong cattle farmer, he was known for his warm and outgoing nature and never met a stranger. He also owned Riverbend in Centerville, a cherished local dance venue where he spent many happy hours dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Johnson Jones; son, Draa (Jamie) Jones; daughter, Diane Walker; brother, John (Sandra) Jones; sisters, Kay (Jimmy) Humphrey and Annette (Paul) Ledbetter; sisters-in-law, Linda Lasley and Wanda Lane; grandchildren, Jason Jones, Casey Springer, Ashley Jones, Lauren Stewart, and Luci Boshers; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Frank Jones.
