Aime Fountaine ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Money and King Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Mar. 4, 2026.Aime Fountaine, 95, of Vienna, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength.Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on October 2, 1930, Aime lived a life rooted in family and service. He graduated from Gardner High School and went on to earn an Associate's degree in Food Management from the University of Massachusetts.On February 23, 1951, he proudly joined the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. His time in the Marines reflected discipline, resilience, and followed the motto Semper Fidelis "Always Faithful" that would define the rest of his life.In June 1962, he married the love of his life, Claire Cormier. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in family and faith. In 1966, they moved to Vienna, Virginia, where they raised five children and created a home filled with laughter and provided steady guidance. Aime spent his professional career in Food Service Management, a field he took pride in, working diligently until his retirement.But his greatest role was always that of husband, father, and grandfather. He coached his children's sports teams, rarely missed a child's event or milestone, and was always a calm presence for the teachable moments in life. He was an active and devoted member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Vienna, where his faith shaped the way he lived and loved. He also enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow veterans at the American Legion, where he could often be found playing pool and sharing stories.He is survived by his beloved wife, Claire Fountaine; his five children: Lynn Kulik and her husband Jeff of Glen Ridge, NJ, Terri Sanders and her husband Larry of Leland, NC, Steve Fountaine and his wife Janna of Arlington, VA, Patty Hanley and her husband Tim of Vienna, VA, and Dan Fountaine and his wife Michelle of South Riding, VA; and his cherished grandchildren: Sami, Ashley, Maddi, Taylor, Chalee, Austin, Allison, Sylvie, Zach, Elle, Nic, Margaret, Emily, and Eleanor.He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Smola of Rutland, MA, and Elaine Munzner of Rutland, MA, and his brother Ed Fontaine of Fitchburg, MA, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.He was predeceased by his parents, Amos and Felia Fountain, and his brother Bill Fontaine; his sister Shirley Miller.Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor a life well livedSt. Mark Catholic Church9970 Vale RoadVienna, VirginiaThursday, March 12Visitation at 11:00 a.m.Celebration of Life Mass at NooInterment with Military Honors in the St Mark Memorial Garden immediately following Donations may be made to St. Mark Catholic Churchhttps://stmark.org/ or to Disabled American Veterans https://www.dav.org/ in honor of Aime's lifelong commitment to service.His legacy lives on in the values he passed down; faith, hard work, loyalty, and love of family.
