Aileen "Sallie" Coldren, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, in St. Joseph, Mich., at the age of 98.Sallie was born on Feb. 2, 1928, in Chicago, Ill. She lived a long and happy life, guided by her love of people and the joy she found in making others smile. She had a wonderful sense of humor and believed that connection was the true secret to a life well lived.A devoted baker, Sallie found delight in driving her red car around town to deliver freshly baked cookies or her favorite rum cake to friends and family. She was always sharing something sweet along with her laughter. Sallie also enjoyed spending time and playing cards at the St. Joseph Senior Center each week. She was a devoted church member and enjoyed working at the rummage sale. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives, and her love will remain with us always.Sallie is survived by her children, Karen (Bruce) Molineaux, Merrilee Anderson, Keith (Gayle) Anderson, and Nancy (David) Anderson; stepchildren, Thomas (Alice) Coldren and Joanne (Larry) Marchionda; grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Minnie," Erik (Rachel) Molineaux, Cory (Claire) Molineaux, Amelia Cypert, Joseph Cypert, Elizabeth (Dennis) Frymire, Emma Anderson, Daisy Anderson, Julie Scott, Jennifer (Justin) Mai and Amanda Coldren; and nine great-grandchildren.Sallie was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Richard Anderson and Richard Coldren; her parents, Charles and Irene Wennberg; Jane Devine and her daughter, Blair Devine.She was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met!A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 2001 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, with Pastor Jeffrey Hubers officiating. The family will receive guests beginning at noon with light refreshments until the start of the celebration.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sallie's name may be directed to the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Service Center or First Congregational Church.
