Agnes Pinkerton ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Dawson Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 4, 2026.Agnes Marie Mellott Pinkerton, 80SALEM, OH – Agnes Marie Mellott Pinkerton, of Lisbon, passed away Tuesday morning, March 3, 2026, at Circle of Care in Salem following a lengthy illness. She was 80 years old.Born in Barnesville, Ohio, February 25, 1946, she was a daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Sprowl Mellott. A loving mother and homemaker, Agnes served as president of the Elkton Elementary PTA for many years and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Vernon "Bub" Pinkerton. The couple married July 19, 1975. She was also preceded by a daughter, Joy Ingledue a son, James Cline, a grandson, Shawn Ketchum, Jr., and five brothers and two sisters.There are two daughters, Misty Dawn Cline of Lisbon and Jennifer Cline of Calcutta, and two sons, Jeffrey Mellott of Salem, and Larry Mellott and his wife Sue, of Wellsville, as well as sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves behind a sister, Ruth Evans and a brother, Charles "Skip" Mellott.Dustin Lang will conduct a funeral service Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
