Adella Sandbothe

Eleanor Sandbothe, age 88, of Circle Pines, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 6, 2026.

Born on September 25, 1937, to Alfons and Adella Stracke in Persia, Iowa, Eleanor married Donald Sandbothe on February 27, 1960. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and quiet devotion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Kenneth, Marvin, and Eldon; her husband Donald; and her infant daughter Theresa.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Donald (Tammy) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; Patrick (Pam) of Isanti, Minnesota; Kimberly Carlson (Harry) of St. Michael, Minnesota; Pamela Torbenson (Bill) of Crystal, Minnesota; and Beverly Malzac (Greg) of Andover, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Laura Weiner (Chad), Michele Shaw (Ryan), Jeremy Sandbothe (Jennie), and Samantha Malzac; step-grandchildren Tony Skavlem (Sue), Tyler Skavlem, Lindsay Chimbur (Justin), Ian Skavlem, Kaline Sandven Marinello (Tony), and Kyle Sandven (Amy); eight great-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marie Wittry of Carroll, Iowa, and Fern Long of Walla Walla, Washington; her brothers, Donald Stracke (Martha) of Perry, Iowa, and James Stracke (Mariana) of Lenexa, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her gentle spirit and steadfast love.
