Adelaida Moreno, 79, passed away on Sunday March 15, 2026, in Abilene, Texas. Adelaida was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 19, 1947.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South Abilene, Texas. A rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be Thursday March 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Dr. Abilene, Texas. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.

Adela was a woman with a true heart of gold, she was not only a loving mother to her children, but she also was a loyal friend to many. Throughout her life, Adelaida was known for her tireless work ethic and commitment to her community. She held positions at Timax, Texas Instruments, Abilene Independent School District's Early Head Start, and the Day Nursery of Abilene, where she made a positive impact on the lives of children and families. Adelaida lived a life full of love, joy, and passionate interests, including a deep love for dancing and an unwavering devotion to the Dallas Cowboys.

She found joy in the simplest of pleasures, whether it was her love for butterflies and red cardinals or the solace she found in feeding birds and shopping. Adelaida was known for her incredible cooking particularly the authentic and real good Mexican food. Her strong faith was a guiding light in her life. As an active member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church for many years, Adelaida fostered a community rooted in love and support.

She is survived by her son, Richard Lee Moreno and Tammy Barton; her daughter, Victoria Moreno and Josh Davis; her son, Michael Ray Moreno and wife Taylor Renee; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother; her husband; her son; and her two sisters.

Adelaida will be missed by everyone who loved her.
