Erick Chaney officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.Mrs. Barrera passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at her residence. She was born Monday, December 16, 1946, in Mexico, to Lorenzo Galarza and Mercedes Romero Galarza.Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family. She embodied a creative spirit and had a deep love for gardening, where she would often be found tending her flowers, and creating fantastical decorations to display in her garden and home.She truly was the heart of her family and always held them tightly together like her trusty hot glue. The comforting aroma of her cooking let you know you were home, a tradition that went beyond simply feeding her family. It was her way of showing her love for her family.
