Adam Catete

Adam Catete, 50, of El Campo, passed away on March 7, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1975, in Bay City.

Adam was the light of every gathering, the kind of person whose presence could brighten a room the moment he entered. With a joke always at the ready, he had a gift for making people laugh and for putting everyone at ease. He never met a stranger—every person he encountered quickly became a friend. Adam loved making barbecue, drawing family and friends together around good food, lively conversation, and shared laughter. His easy smile, warm heart, and playful sense of humor made all who knew him feel welcome and valued. He had a special way of lifting spirits, whether through a funny story, a quick joke, or standing at the grill making sure every plate was full.

He will be remembered for the laughter he shared so freely, the friendships he formed so easily, and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone around him. His memory will live on in every smile, every laugh, and every story told about him.

Adam is survived by his parents, Pablo Catete Sr. and Antonia Catete; sisters, Lena Vallejo Rodriguez and Lorena Janik and husband Jim; brothers, Esteban Vallejo and wife Juanita, Martin Catete and wife Mary Lou, Juan Catete and wife Ma. Victoria, and Antonio Catete and wife Angelita; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Leonila Rodriguez, and his brother, Pablo Catete Jr.
