Our beloved mother passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on October 14, 1948, in Memphis, Texas, to Alfred Daniel Estlack and Alma Allene Estlack (Hutto), she was raised in Clarendon, Texas. From an early age she found joy in music, serving as Drum Major and twirler at Clarendon High School. She loved attending concerts and embraced all genres from country to Texas blues. An avid reader who often climbed trees with a book in her youth, she also cherished fine cuisine, travel, and the thrill of driving fast. She found deep pleasure in observing animals in nature and cherished the sound of birdsong at dawn. Her love of poetry came from her Papa, and she missed dancing as much as she missed breathing. Though allergic to the outdoors, she remained drawn to nature and lived fearlessly, equally at ease with bikers, cowboys, and CEOs. She traveled coast to coast, to Hawaii and across Europe, a West Texas rose who pulled herself up by her bootstraps to experience the wonders she had once only read about while resting in a tree. She took great pride in the close friendships she shared with her children as they grew.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her warmth, strength, and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, Dean Cearley (Paula) of Amarillo, Texas, Angela Thorne (Jason) of Cypress, Texas, and Aaron Shea of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Haleigh Burns (Nick) of Amarillo, Texas, McKenzie McFadden (Dustin) of Olton, Texas, Bodey Cearley of Amarillo, Texas, Emma Thorne of Cypress, Texas, and Chloe Llanez (Brandon) of Galveston, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she deeply loved and cherished. She is also survived by her sisters, Patsy Sammons of Lubbock, Texas, and Barbara Brock of Isleton, California, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed her into eternal rest. Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
