He was predeceased by: his close friend Barbara Rahman; his parents, Syed Zarif Ahmad Malick and Husne Ara Begum; his sisters, Shamim Bano, Suraiya Bano and Akhtar Bano; and his grandchildren, Samuel Downs, Trevor Rahman and Alexandra Rahman.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Cheryl Downs (Matt), David Rahman (Callie), Edward Rahman (Crystal) and Mariam Rahman; his grandchildren, Georgia Downs, Gillian Downs, Lindsey McClellan, Zachary Rahman and Cole Rahman; and his great grandchild Phoenix Neimi. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the East Plano Islamic Center (4700 14th St, Plano, TX 75054).
